UKULELE JAM CLASS LEVEL 1
6 Week Session
Wanna learn a "little guitar"? Dream of jamming by the beach with your toes in the sand? Have kiddos who are interested in learning a cool and affordable instrument? Ukulele Level 1 is perfect for you! No previous experience required. Students will learn basic ukulele technique, chords, and melodies. Students will learn a variety of songs and will have the opportunity to play in a recital! Songbook, playlist, and mini recording session included. Class ukulele provided if needed, or you may bring your own.

This class is designed for the intermediate-advanced player. Students should know basic chords and can play a few songs. Students will learn how to play multiple parts together as a band. Players will expand chord vocabulary by learning a variety of major/minor chords, and maybe some barre chords! Students will also learn more challenging (but fun!) melodic lines. Ukulele is a "3D" instrument, sounding like two players in one. We are going to take our skills and learn songs that combine both harmony and melody! VERY COOL! Students will learn both tablature and notation. Challenge yourself and let's do this!

Ukulele provided if needed for in-class use, or you may bring your own.

MUSIC EXPLORERS!
Early childhood music program
for infants, toddlers, and pre-k students, and parents!
Students will participate in fun, game-like activities that foster musicianship, including rhythm, tonal (singing voice!), movement exploration and instrument exposure. Lessons are created with student interests in mind. Students will listen to a wide variety of music and learn lyrics of class songs. Some songs may be in different languages! We LOVE to dance! Music explorers has the right mix of structure, freedom, engagement, and fun needed for young students (and grown ups!) to successfully learn music.

Middle/High School student-All instruments welcome (Including voice!)

This course is designed for the aspiring musician who loves to perform. Students will learn about jazz form/charts, simple solo techniques, and how to perform in a band with other musicians. Band will prepare an off-site show held during our final week of class. This is going to be an amazing music education opportunity! Taught by a jazz performer!

Tuition is the same for all 12 months. FSM provides free music classes throughout the year to make-up classes missed during holiday, weather related school closings, and emergencies. If the instructor is absent a substitute will be provided.
